10. Beyoncé Knowles-Carter
Beyoncé donated $2,700 to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential campaign. She is famously known as being a founding member of Destiny’s Child, performing hits that include Deja Vu and Irreplaceable.
After she departed from the group, she has had one of the most successful careers as an individual artist, with her hit single, Drunk in Love, peaking at number two on the billboard top 100. She also starred as an actress in hit films such as Austin Powers Goldmember and Obsessed.
Beyoncé has been extremely socio-politically active over the last few years, leading the charge for modern day feminists and overall civil rights. Her performance of Formation at the 2016 NFL Super Bowl Show was considered controversial as it appeared to reference the 50th anniversary of the Black Panther Party and the NFL historically forbids political statements in its performances.
