According to The Hill, Robert De Niro mentioned banning President Trump from the restaurant he co-owns, Nobu, during an interview on Tuesday night. De Niro has been playing Robert Mueller on Saturday Night Live as of late and as a result has been bashing President Trump every chance he can get.
The Daily Mail reported that De Niro, a co-founder of the Nobu restaurant and hotel chain along with the famous Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, went so far as to say that he would not let Presdident Trump eat in his restaurants. Further, De Niro even said he would leave any other restaurant where the president was eating at if they were both present.
“If he walked into a restaurant I was in, I’d walk out,” De Niro said.
De Niro has repeatedly spoken out against Trump, referring to him as a “f—ing idiot” and a “f—ing fool,” among other jabs.
The struggling actor seems to be taking any movie role he can get these days and his best movies are most certainly behind him. So although it’s a shame that he’s jumping on the anti-Trump bandwagon, it’s no surprise because he certainly needs the publicity.
