President Donald Trump joined Brian Kilmeade from FOX and Friends on Thursday morning for an exclusive interview regarding the new NFL mandate that requires all NFL players to stand for the national anthem. However, there is one stipulation to the mandate made by the NFL. Players who do not want to stand for the national anthem are allowed to remain in the locker room until after the anthem.
And here is policy statement from NFL. In short, players not wishing to stand and show respect to flag during anthem may wait in locker room or otherwise off the field. pic.twitter.com/fJiB9xUZzb

During the discussion the two discussed the NFL ruling on Wednesday that banned kneeling during the National Anthem. President Trump agreed with this ruling:
President Trump: “You have to stand proudly for the National Anthem. You shouldn’t be playing, you shouldn’t be there. Maybe they shouldn’t be in the country…the NFL owners did the right thing.”
